MBAs in particular start off with a number of core topics. You learn finance, accounting, operations, strategy all independently. I’ve suggested in a past idea (in my first 100 series) that the so called “soft” classes should come first and the “hard” ones after. Here instead I suggest that the business degree shouldn’t have any of these classes. instead, it would be organized by topics like Project Management, Entrepreneurship, Supply Chain, Small and Mid Sized Business etc. and within each of these topics you would receive the marketing, accounting, finance, HR lessons that are relevant to that course. The degree could cover a range of topics, or even just specialise in one or two.
