When I did an MBA, and for many years after, I was struck by how “male” the MBA was. This doesn’t just have to do with students and faculty, but also the overall culture and setup of the degree, and subsequently (or because of) the culture and set up of the business world. What would an MBA look like if you sat down a group of women to design it – students, faculty, alumni, those working in a range of businesses (and outside of it) at different levels and those who have long since retired from the business world? No rules, no requirements, no need to keep the structure or any other elements of the programme as they are now, at all. How would you design an MBA, for men and women, that is the starting point to what we want, what we need the business sector to start looking like as well to be more inclusive?
