The Sustainability Research Network is a dynamic network of early career researchers at the University of Nottingham in the UK working on, or interested in, sustainability. It was started on the UK campus in 2013 by PhD students with the aim of providing an interdisciplinary discussion and collaboration around the topic. Prior to the launch of the network there were few informal or formal opportunities for researchers interested in sustainability to meet one another and share ideas and expertise across disciplines. Today there are over 370 members (faculty, students and research staff) from business but also Engineering, Education, Sciences, Medicine, Geography, English, Politics and Chemistry to name but a few.
