At Ryerson University in Canada the Environmental Applied Science and Management Programme brings together eight schools and departments (three engineering deparmtnes, chemistry and biology, geography, public health, urban and regional planning, and economics) as part of a multi-disicplinary degree. The programme links the enviornmental sciences and the management and decision making disciplines in order to provide students with the opportunity to integrate the two areas of study with an emphasis on applied research for resolving problems in enviornmental protection, conservation and sustainable development.
