Many business school campuses around the world are not only full of students, but full of trees. Have students working with staff to put a value on all of the trees on campus. Embed this activity into some of the core finance courses as a way of not only engaging students, but also use the exercise as a way to expose students to other approaches to valuation. Study how cities around the world have valued their trees (e.g. London) and what the impact of understanding that value is. Every year have students review the value assigned to the trees the previous year and so on and so forth.
