A few months after posting the idea of crowdsourcing for a new MBA (Idea 51 of The FutureMBA) I was excited to see that the College of William & Mary’s Mason School of Business in the US did this. When exploring how to differentiate and create a more sustainable and relevant MBA they created an online platform to crowd source ideas as to what might be part of this new MBA. They invited employers, recruiters, professors, students, alumni and professionals to participate. Participants were invited to submit ideas or discuss ideas submitted by others. Ideas included moving classrooms outside, to develop more cross learning opportunities with the sciences, and a proposal for a course on how to develop brands in the digital age. The results were schedule to be posted in July 2016 so hopefully they will share some shortly.
